About Us

Aromatherapy is the ancient art of using natural extracts from some aromatic plants for medicinal purposes to enhance the quality of life. Aromatherapy is based on scientific knowledge as well as traditional knowledge of the uses of the aromatic plants.

Aromatherapy has been used since antiquity. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, stated, “The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and scented massage every day.” The knowledge of humans and their links with nature and plants has been handed down through the ages. Aromatherapy is truly wholistic as it affects the whole person - mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Aromatherapy complements other modalities.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are the liquids that have been extracted from aromatic plants or plant parts by steam distillation. Steam distillation has been found to be the best method of extracting essential oils for therapeutic use. The properties of the essential oils are dependent upon climate, method of cultivation, weather, soil conditions, and the time of day and time of year the plant is harvested. Essential oils have a chemical structure of organic substances such as carbon, hydrogen, or oxygen.

There are hundreds of aromatic plants. However, about one third of the plants that have been used traditionally in herbal medicine are aromatic.

Essential oils are often adulterated or rectified. Essential oils that have been altered will not provide the therapeutic quality desired and, they can be toxic to the body.

For your protection use only the finest quality essential oils that EOBBD (Essential Oils Botanically and Biochemically defined) Quality Assurance.
